Opening Reception and Book Signing at Sakonnet Collective

Opening Reception for Shape of Beauty with Photographic Artist - Serena Parente Charlebois

May 12th from 5-8 at Sakonnet Collective

"The Shape of Beauty is a celebration of the strong feminine influence that has surrounded
me my entire life, and is a remembrance to honor my mother, Cindy, who moved through
life with grace, and who loved her flowers so much.  Some of my favorite and earliest childhood memories are of walking side by side with my mother who introduced me to, and educated me on, the beauty of the nature that abound
in our own little wooded gardens.

So, it is only natural that I look to my environment for inspiration, for those wild places
that have shaped so much within me, and to represent what my eyes see and my heart
feels when I view the world that surrounds me.
Photography is my language, my form of communicating emotions, from grief and anguish
to the growth of healing and renewal."
