Two New Stores Open at Historic Tiverton 4 Corners!

Beach House Décor and Personalized Skin Care Products Add to Shopping Fun!

TIVERTON, R.I. – April 19, 2005 – The Tiverton 4 Corners historic shopping district welcomes two new stores this month, expanding its offerings of upscale, unique boutiques celebrating the romance of country and coastal living.

The district is best-known for its charming antique buildings located in a tranquil traditional New England setting. Tiverton 4 Corners and the surrounding communities provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy shopping, dining and sight-seeing.

“The hallmark of shopping at Tiverton 4 Corners has always been the relaxed and uncrowded atmosphere, which allows visitors to stroll among the quaint shops unimpeded by the usual stresses of harried shopping,” said Lora MacFall, president of the merchants association.

“In addition, the shops, like these two new ones, strive to offer distinctive products for consumers who want to bring this indulgent experience back home.”

Sakonnet Sundries, owned by Stacy Venancio, offers personalized skin care and aromatherapy products. Gaining expertise working at salons and spas, Stacy formulates her own products and offers eight lines of customized soap, lotions, body wash and body butter products.

Stacy works with leading cosmetic manufacturing companies to formulate bases especially for her. She carries a custom fragrance bar that invites clients to create their personal scent from an array of 100 fragrances and essential oils.

Sakonnet Sundries will also carry a baby and children's line inviting kids to create their own soaps; spa products, a men's line and products for hands and feet. Bath accessories and aromatherapy soy candles will also be available.

The grand opening is April 30th, starting at 10 a.m. in the Mill Pond building, providing samples, a raffle, and refreshments.

Store hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10-5, Sunday 12-5. The store will be closed on Mondays.

Sakonnet Sundries is also online at Sakonnetsoaps.com.

Watercolours Beach House, owned by Sally Dwyer, is an offshoot of Sally's previous Portsmouth store, 'Watercolours'. Her home furnishings, accessories, consignment furniture, giftware and local artwork reflect a shabby chic coastal living style.

The store will carry an exclusive line of beach cottage furniture designed by Russell & MacKenna.

Sally is also an interior designer and has coordinated the decor for Hyatt Regency’s Ballroom on Newport’s Goat Island, Castle Hill Inn and Resort of Newport, and Narragansett’s Coast Guard House, as well as yachts. She has statewide clientele.

Also located in the Mill Pond building, Watercolours Beach House will officially open in mid-April and will continue celebrating its opening throughout the month.

Store hours are Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 – 5:00 and Sunday 12:00-5:00. Many items will eventually be carried online as well.
