2006 Tiverton 4 Corners Holiday Celebrations!Open House * Tree Lighting * Live Music * Children’s Activities TIVERTON, R.I. – November 8, 2006 – The joys of the 2006 Holiday Season will be celebrated in style at Tiverton 4 Corners, Friday, December 1 and Saturday, December 2. A Friday evening concert at 8:00 p.m. kicks off the celebrations and will continue Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. The festivities include a district-wide Open House with sales, refreshments, ornament making, gift basket drawings, gourmet food tastings and a concert by soprano Kate Grana, and caroling by the cast of Little Compton’s Community Theatre’s Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol, culminating with an olde fashioned tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. The charming district will be wrapped in distinctive holiday finery created by award -winning floral and garden designers, Roanne Robbins and Richard Magnuson. Stroll and shop at your leisure through the picturesque stores and galleries, while enjoying a quaint New England holiday experience unique to this unspoiled area. Ample free parking is available. Cast of ‘Ebenezer’ carolers 11:30 a.m-12:00 p.m. Also kicking off December Festive Fridays – 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m., serving wine and cheese. • The Contessa and Company – hosting a children’s event table, and will serve cookies and beverages. • Gallery 4 – 12 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., providing a wine tasting by Sakonnet Vineyards. The gallery will feature wire and glass sculpture and jewelry by Susan Freda. • Milk and Honey Bazaar – offering samples of more than 100 different local and imported cheeses, surrounded by Colonial Williamsburg style decorations in a traditional reproduction barn storefront. • Nature Contained – 10:00 am - 5:00pm., serving warm refreshments and organic treats, among a winter garden, and seasonal garlands & wreaths and other natural holiday gifts and adornments. • Provender - serving fresh baked goods and cocoa. • Sakonnet Sundries – children are invited to make their own ornaments, while nibbling cookies and sipping cocoa. Complimentary gift-wrapping with in-store purchases. • Four Corners Arts Center Artist's Co-op - various local artists will be displaying and selling their work at Open House and throughout the month.
